Storybook Classic Homes has researched products that give character to these style of homes.  We use cultured stone and limestone fireplace mantles.  Herringbone fire boxes are standard.  We also offer cast stone range hoods for your old world kitchen.

Chimney pot chimneys are standard embellishments for the storybook look.  Chimney pots can be made of clay, brick, aluminum and copper.  Below are photos from our vendors and craftsman.

We also offer synthetic thatch as an upgrade for roofing.  Endureed makes thatch that is waterproof, hurricane category 4 proof, fireproof, and bug proof.  This thatch also keeps it's shape and color for 20 years.  This feature will mimic many old world homes found in Ireland and England.  The thatch look can also be created using cedar shingles with a rolled eave.  The shingles are steamed to a curve shape to wrap around the eave overhangs.  The finished roof is in a wave pattern.  There are curved clay shingles that are available should a homeowner not want a cedar roof.  We have many plans with a rolled-eave roofline such as the Cozey-wold, Rose Cottage, Bunnbridge, and Pardiggle house plans.

Another upgrade we offer are kitchen appliances and embellishments to give the old world look to compliment the style of your new home.  We offer icebox-paneled doors for your refrigerator.  We also have great pricing on new appliances with an antique look, but with modern performance and dependability.  Below are some examples.
